Techniques

The course is designed for classical and nylon string guitar players who want to explore flamenco playing.

Techniques covered include Picado, tremolo, arpeggio, rasgueado, punteado, ligado and alzapua. In short all those things that make flamenco guitar so exciting to listen to.

Forms

Attention is given to the various rhythmic structures and forms such as Farruca, Soleares, Bulerias Granadinas, Fandango and Sevillanas, from the basic rhythms to intermediate and advanced levels.

Solos and improvisation

The student will achieve a good knowledge of flamenco scales and phrasing and modern harmony to create interesting solos geared to the level of their playing.

Modern flamenco takes in a wide range of new scales and harmonic structures to create intense and arresting sounds.

All courses £30 per 60 minutes or £40 for 90 minutes.
