A self contained course designed to get you playing whatever your tastes in music. Topics covered include:

Tuning the guitar either manually or using a tuner
Naming the open strings
Basic chords, including major, minor, 7ths and beyond
Right hand techniques such as picking and finger style
Scales and melodic playing
Learning to read tab and chord symbols and boxes
Song playing and basic accompaniment patterns
Basic riff patterns
Learn songs of your choice
Introduction to the fretboard

Basic Rock Guitar

As above but covers rock, metal and blues styles. Teaching materials and notes are supplied with the course.

Singer Guitarists Course 12 x 60 minute lessons

Course is designed for those who wish to perform in public or for educational purposes. Course elements include the basic elements of guitar playing plus:

Basic voice production and singing techniques
Harmony – chord voicing and selection
Song and key selection
Accompaniment techniques and styles
Repertoire development
Guitar techniques, such as scales, arpeggios and octaves
Sight reading and musicianship
Fretboard knowledge

Electric Guitar

A graded course of lesson designed to follow the syllabus of the LCM or other examining body covering a range of electric guitar techniques from beginners to Grade 8, including rock, jazz, blues, and country styles of playing. The course covers all aspects including musicianship, sight reading and tab.

Home Visits

Home visits can be arranged in central and north London for pupils with easy access to the London Underground network. Visits are during the day, and a preliminary non-chargeable meeting will be setup to discuss an individuals needs. Thereafter payment will be four weeks in advance.

All courses include background and teaching materials and encourage the student to learn to read music and develop their musicianship 60 minute lessons.
